Now Offering Stereotactic Breast Biopsy

Stereotactic breast biopsy is a core biopsy which removes small amounts of breast tissue using a hollow needle. During this procedure x-ray is used to help guide the physician to the correct area for biopsy. Stereotactic biopsy may prevent the need for an open (surgical) biopsy. Stereotactic biopsy is an office based procedure which will last approximately one hour.
